Poem #212 My Plans

"I know the plans I have for you,"

Lord, your word has echoed in my head over and over again. But your plans are hard to see, Difficult to unravel, Hidden under thorns disguised as roses representing, Best intentions and strong will. I wish I could be strong and resist my flesh But sometimes I can't.

"Declares the lord,"

Was that you? Cause sometimes I deceive myself, Oh Lord help me.

"Plans to prosper you,"

But I don't feel very prospered or blessed. At best I feel like everything's coming my way. And it's scary. I’m not trying to doubt you but I have doubts.

"To give you hope and a future."

What's a future if you can't see it, If it's blurry in the distance, Easily moved and easily changed? Oh God, I need...

"Be quiet Before you finish this let me ask you, What are your plans?"

T-t-th-they are...

"Shush!!! You’ve had your time to rant, and this is mine! My time, not yours! My season, not yours! For I am the Lord your God, And I am in no rush! So, listen! For I know the plans I have for you. I say, Plans to prosper you, To give you hope and a future.

DON'T EVER DOUBT THAT!!!"
