Poem #220 Time

Time waits for no man

instead, it runs far ahead

faster than we can ever hope to travel,

each second racing by with an speed,

an urgency we have come to expect

but can never quite anticipate.

There is hope through it all

for steady went the tortoise

and he beat the hare

so steady and unfaltering I will go

so I might win the race in the end.
