Poem #322 His Body

Be still my anxious heart,

though men may fall by the thousands all around

we are held safe in His arms.

Walk straight my wandering feet,

the world is dark and grows darker still

He has called us to walk His light into it.

Hold fast my sluggish arms,

society is burdened,

we are to lift them up.

Speak life my precocious tongue,

Sing His praises loud,

the stones shall not speak for us.

Arise from your slumber and keep watch,

the world is in need of a Saviour,

We are His body.
