Poem #345 How to approach

They came to

Him

perfect in their

own eyes. Yet

He

rejected them for

their pride and

wisdom and repulsive to

Him.

For He had no need

for the self sufficient

those who are unhurt

have no need for a Doctor,

the unbroken have

no need for a Potter,

the finished have

no need for a Carpenter,

and the free have

no need for a Saviour.

Those who come,

as they were empty and lost

in need for a Saviour

He welcomes with open arms.
